Didactic Factories Network
To fully support the transition to a Circular Economy (CE), DaCapo goes beyond technical innovation by addressing critical market barriers—such as the lack of skilled workforce and end-user hesitation in adopting advanced digital technologies.
At the heart of this effort is the Didactic Factories (DF) Network: a pan-European network of open-access pilot facilities hosted at Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs).
These Didactic Factories are real, physical testbed infrastructures—revamped from previous R&D projects—that now integrate DaCapo’s cutting-edge digital solutions for CE adoption.
The network provides
Access to state-of-the-art testing and validation facilities
A shared training framework, including in-situ hands-on learning, digital tools, and practical methodologies
By fostering skills development and de-risking technology adoption, the DF Network plays a pivotal role in supporting long-term sustainability and accelerating circular innovation across Europe’s manufacturing sector.
